Still at Lois and Duane's near Calera. Layover at their generous suggestion, due to weather etc. Lois teaches nursing - she's a great communicator as well as RN, she knows the art of nursing as well as the science - and Duane, when he's not making art or working cattle, is in school doing fascinating research on language and technology in the Native Studies program. Have spent the time out at their ranch land searching for cattle, hiking the woods harvesting medicinal plants, updating the blog, resting... a good break.
Walter has spent his time buddying up with Gray the horse and will probably let me know in no uncertain terms that I'm tearing him away from the most bestest tightest pal he's ever had when we go to leave... until he meets his next bestest tightest pal ever at the next stop.
